Stinging Bell

Dress: Spoiled Brat, Boots: Asos, Glasses: iSpex

Evening all! Hope you enjoyed X Factor ;) I've enjoyed a busy weekend of Christmas shopping this weekend, and I'm proud to say I'm almost done!! I'm so proud I've pushed through and got it over with early! Although, it has cost me a pretty penny! That's not to say that it's discouraged me from shopping for myself (bad Marie)! And so I feed my habit of buying things I cannot afford, I took to a site I hadn't heard of previously - Spoiled Brat! Their email magically appeared in my inbox with a healthy 20% off code, so naturally I couldn't resist! (Currently 20% off until midnight with code 'WEEKEND'!)

I'm nutty about the tartan trend at the moment, and this dress is no exception! It's great for those who don't want to go over the top scotty dog style! I love the vibrancy of the tartan on the sleeves, it's beautiful, and the material is thick and warm - perfect for winter! The Spoiled Brat website is crammed with lots of beautiful clothes, I definitely recommend it if you're looking for some inspiration or just fancy yourself a little treat!

Currently, I'm cosied up in bed with the new series of I'm a Celebrity on! I'm so excited, I always get sooo into this show! And how amazing that Carlton is in it this year?! Eeppp! Who else is tuning in?

Slow Night, So Long

Dress: Little Mistress (c/o), Necklace: H&M

It's safe to say, I've found my new favourite party dress! Little Mistress is definitely the place to look if you're in the market for a glamorous new dress for this year's Christmas festivities! I adore the lace detailing on this dress, and how it overlaps the skirt - creating a very flattering effect. Also, the cream against the navy is a beautiful contrast, and gives it a vintage feel.

To extenuate the vintage style of the dress, I thought a pocket watch necklace was the perfect accessory! I picked this up in H&M almost a year ago now, but I know you can still find this style everywhere! It's the perfect necklace, and it goes with almost anything!

As for hair, when it comes to parties I'm never too sure how to style mine! I'm definitely a hair down kind of girl - updo's just aren't my style! So, I stuck to curling it in my trademark style, put pinned the sides up to give it more of a party feel!

Have you checked out Little Mistress? Where are you getting your Christmas party dress from this year? I'd love some festive inspiration!!

Holiday Snaps

Outfit One - Top: Primark, Skirt: H&M. Outfit Two - Top: H&M, Skirt: New Look, Outfit Three - Dress: H&M.
Outfit Four - Dress: H&M, Outfit Five - Bandeau Top
: New Look, Skirt: Topshop
Outfit Six - Dress: ASOS.

Well I'm back from Barca, and I thought I would share with you some of my holiday evening outfits! I'm aware these are all very summery looks, and it's not so summery in England right now - but nevertheless, I took the pictures, so I'm going to share them!!

Today I cracked the coat and scarf combo out, I can't believe it's already cold enough to permit that!! Although, I must admit, I am now very excited by the prospect of shopping for my autumn/winter wardrobe. Jumpers, cardigans, boots, jeans, fluffy socks... maybe this cold weather isn't so bad after all?

Anyway, my holiday was blissful and Jack and I really enjoyed having some time to ourselves to switch off (have a look through some of my holiday snaps below)! Unfortunately, we were greeted by some bad news on our return. Some of you may have come across me mentioning my little pet hamster, Mimi in previous posts or on twitter/instagram. Well my little furry baby was a poorly girl, and on the day we arrived home, sadly passed away. Current mood: heart broken. She was my first pet and I was besotted! Nothing will ever fill that gap! RIP Mimi <3

Summertime Sadness

Dress: Lavish Alice (c/o), Shoes: New Look, Bracelets: H&M

Enjoying my summer dresses while I still can, I wore this gorgeous Lavish Alice dress last weekend. I love classic skater style of this dress, its a beautiful shape and really does make me feel very womanly when I wear it. I'm thinking I'll probably save this one for my cousin's wedding in October now. Do you think it's wedding guest appropriate?

Currently, I am packing to go on my holidays tomorrow! Tidying the house so we don't come back to a dusty bomb site and make our holiday blues a thousand times worse! Jack and I are off to Barcelona - we headed there in 2011 and loved it so much that we're going again! Can anyone recommend any good places to visit while we're there?

Weather looks like a mixed bag currently, rain some days, high 20's on others, so I'm just hoping some sunshine will hold out for us!

I've also got some exciting news - I start my new job on the week after I return! I will be moving into Digital Marketing and I am so, so very excited! It's a secondment role, so there is a possibility I may move back into my current role when my contract is up, but I'm really looking forward to gaining some experience in the field and getting my foot in the door!

Anyway, I will say adiós for now, I'm off to chase some sunshine!

The Great Escape

Dress: H&M, Wedges: New Look, Floral Crown: New Look (old). Jack Wears: All Primark ;)

Life has been hectic recently to say the least. I've had a string of bad to worse scenarios for the past two weeks, but my silver lining to this all was attending my beautiful, good friend Charlotte's wedding yesterday. Charlotte was my rock at uni, especially during final year and we slogged through all that hard work together, so it was wonderful to get the opportunity to share in her beautiful wedding day with her and her family!

Seeing as life has been so stressful, I didn't give myself a lot of time to put an outfit together - however, I am very pleased with what I came out with in the end. I'm completely in love with this black maxi dress from H&M that I picked up this week - I felt like a Grecian goddess and the style is so flattering. I've been looking for an opportunity to wear my floral crown I picked up in New Look last summer forever, and so I thought when is better than a summer wedding? And finally my brand new tan wedges are a dream come true, I am guaranteed to be wearing these boho dreams all summer long!

Thought I'd sneak in a little picture of Jack too as it's always so lovely to see him dressed up smart! He picked up this gorgeous blue check shirt from Primark in the week for £8! I absolutely love Primark's mens wear!

The ceremony and reception were all held at Warkwick House in Southam and it really was perfect in every way! The ceremony was actually held outside and it looked like something out of a movie plus the sun was shining all day long! It really was what I needed to help get my mind off all that has been going on as of recent.

Have you got any summer weddings you are attending? I'd love to see your outfits!! Nothing like a good old fashioned wedding ;)

Hello Helicopter

Cardigan: H&M, Skirt: New Look, Glasses: iSpex, Bag: New Look, Boots: ASOS, Necklace: H&M (old)

This is actually what I wore for work today, it looks quite preppy now I see it on camera! I'm obsessed with this cardigan, it literally can bring any outfit to life! Having said that, I'm really into nude's at the moment, makes me feel really Spring-y, even if the sun isn't shining! This skirt and bag and my two favourite purchases recently from New Look. I'm so used to carrying a big handbag, so its so refreshing to have a lightweight shoulder bag - perfect for Summer adventures!

I still get nervous about photographing in my glasses, even though I wear them so often on a day to day basis! Having said that, I think they are my favourite glasses I've ever had - it's nice to have a pair that complete an outfit instead of being a bit of a burden!

Currently, Jack and I are looking for somewhere lovely to book for our holibobs! Can anyone recommend anywhere? We're completely in love with Barcelona, and may end up going to the same place we went in 2011 if we can't find any inspiration! So suggestions are very much welcome!

I REALLY can't wait to get away from the day job and get some sunshine, and of course do all the holiday shopping that comes with it! I'm desperate for a new pair of sunnies, especially some big dark black RayBans after recently watching 'My Week With Marilyn' and completely falling in love with Michelle Williams as Marilyn - what a babe!

So where are you heading off to this Summer? What little adventures will you be up to? I'd love to hear all about it!!

Nancy From Now On

Shirt: Primark, Treggings: New Look, Bag: Accesorize, Watch: ASOS, Chelsea Boots: ASOS

i'm in two minds about this shirt! I love the pattern so so much - I feel like a China plate, but it is so big! I'm so sure the shape is flattering? Nevertheless, being a light cotton material, it's perfect for summer. You don't need to wear a cami underneath, so the lack of constriction is really refreshing!

Please link me to your posts if you've been to Primark recently! I'd love to see what new bits they've got in, without having to go into the actual store until pay day!!

Summer Love

Dress: Primark, Bag: Accessorize, Shoes: Primark, Necklace: Primark, Sunglasses: New Look, Bracelet: River Island (old)

As soon as I saw the sun was out this weekend, I thought it was about time I made an effort to take some outfit photos! I can't believe how long it takes me to get posts up these days, I hate how life gets in the way so much these days - I do miss be able to blog and take photos every day :( Anybody else have the same concerns?

Anywho, since Primark has opened up in Milton Keynes I have been putting a dangerous amount of dollarz down on a regular basis. It's just far too tempting! I love this dress with the black panels down the side, I just think its really flattering and on trend! I definitely need some more monochrome for sure!

We tried out crazy golf this bank holiday weekend and it was so hilarious! it's definitely worth getting out and making the most of the sun while its out, because as you know in the UK it never hangs about for long... :(

Cough Cough

Dress: New Look, Jacket: New Look (old), Bag: River Island, Boots: Asos

I'm so gutted the bank holiday weekend is over. Was so lovely to finally have some time in my new house to just chill out! Jack and I had an easter egg hunt on Sunday which is definitely my favourite thing to do on easter! I've still got lots of chocolate left to munch my way through!

I picked this dress up in New Look last week, I'm an absolute sucker for polka dots! It's so simple but so effective, so pleased I picked it up!

Don't forget to watch my boyfriend tag video I posted this weekend!

Suit & Tie

Blazer: H&M, Skirt: Topshop, Vest top: Primark, Necklace: Ebay, Handbag: Marc B, Watch: ASOS, Shoes: Deichmann

I fell in love with this blazer as soon as I saw it! I'm an absolute sucker for monochrome and completely over the moon that its so on trend this spring! I tried to keep the outfit quite neutral, making the blazer the statement piece of the look - as it so rightly should be!

So a little update of what's been happening with me! Jack and I are in our new little home now and we're very happy! It was an intense few days of continual packing and unpacking as I finally picked up and left home - for the last time may I add! We've been craving having our own space again for such a long while now, so its great to be finally standing on our own two feet again!

Anyway, now that I'm settling in, I'll make sure I can still enlist Jack's photographic skills for more outfit posts, as I'm really enjoying this new style of post - even if I do say so myself haha!

I'm a Realist

Dress: Primark, Leather Jacket: New Look (old), Shoes: Next (old), Necklace: Primark

It's been a while since you would of caught me in a bodycon dress, but I just adored the die dye print on this dress when I spotted it coming down the escalator in Primark! Plus, I've been in two minds for a while to try a midi dress, thinking my legs were too short to pull it off, but for only a tenner - I thought I'd bite the bullet!

I went for quite a grungy look, adding my current favourite cross necklace, leather jacket and my new favourite lippy - Rebel by MAC. I love this look for going to a bar in the evening or on a date night. I think its quite sultry and vampish. I must admit, I do feel a bit conscious of my curves, but if Kim K can get away without, then I spose I can too?

Black Chandelier

Jacket: c/o Mary Jane Fashion, Dress: In Love With Fashion, Faux Fur: New Look, Watch: Asos, Boots: Asos, Leggings: H&M

I have this dress in grey and black, and I'm thinking of investing in further shades, because as the old phrase goes: if you like it, buy it in every colour! These wrap dresses are my go to outfits at the moment, as they can be so easy accessorized and glamorous, whilst being so comfortable and easy to wear. By throwing on a blazer, like this wonderful studded shoulder number from Mary Jane Fashion, this look instantly becomes sophisticated and ready for an evening out. This kind of look is just so me at the moment, as I'm really enjoying dark shades and layering!
