Floral Blouse: H&M, Blazer: Primark, Heart Ring: Marie Loves Jewellery
So, tomorrow I take my first baby steps into the real world; I will be starting an internship in which I will be helping to create a new fashion and beauty website. Today, I will be travelling down to London to stay with family who live near by to the office I'll be working in. I have mixed feelings about the position, in terms of being nervous that I won't fulfil the role and so on. Also, I'm desperate for it to turn into full time, paid work, which I am led to believe their is a high possibility. I think others who have just finished uni can relate to that feeling of being stuck in a rut with not much to do now we've finished! I'm missing that feeling of purpose plus not living with my boyfriend is even harder than I imagined.
I will be sure to keep you all updated with my journey into the world of work. Its so hard to find anything out there at the moment, so I suppose I am just grateful for this opportunity to prove myself and put what I have learnt into action!
Who else is going to be interning this summer? I'd love to hear about your experiences!
Love the outfit and good luck on the internship. I am on the last legs of my internship and let me tell you it changes you for the better. You become so much more mature and you learn so much invaluable experience.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it turns into a full time thing.

Keep your head up, it always seems to get harder before it gets better, but I am sure you are strong enough to get through your rut;) You are smart and beautiful and you will find your dream job in no time!

I start an internship in PR next Monday in London, very nervous too! I have exactly the same feelings as you about being out of uni for a year with no purpose, but still feeling apprehensive about proving yourself and being away from people you miss :) We have nothing to lose but everything to gain though! Good luck :)

p.s Love your hair!
I know, really hopefully I'll land on my feet soon and can move into a new flat!
DeleteTypical was going to buy this top in the shop but put it back now seen it on you and I want it again, damn the blogging world! Good luck with the internship :) x
ReplyDeletego back and get it! haha
DeleteGood luck, hope it goes well! In terms of not living with your boyfriend any more, I can completely see how that would be rubbish, but having lived with my other half for the past four years, I think there are definitely benefits to not doing so, and it's good to make the most of them until you do, permanently! I love my hubby to bits, but I sometimes miss the times when we had separate houses, as we would have the chance to miss each other that little bit, and look forward to seeing each other, and when we did, we would 'do' something rather than just hang out in the house. And having the chance to get ready to go out with them and look really nice,it being a surprise for them, rather than them seeing your early morning face! Haha.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks gorgeous in this pic!
